Legal basis for processing (Canada)
If you're located in Canada, we rely on your express or implied consent to process your information, which you may withdraw at any time. In limited cases permitted by law — such as fraud prevention, business transactions, insurance claims, or compliance with a court order — we may process information without consent.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies — such as web beacons and pixels — to operate our services and understand how they're used. Specific details on the cookies we use and how to manage them are set out in our Cookie Notice.
Do-Not-Track signals
No uniform industry standard for recognizing "Do-Not-Track" (DNT) browser signals currently exists, so we do not respond to DNT signals at this time. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we'll update this notice accordingly.
Social logins
If you register or log in using a third-party social media account, we'll receive certain profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. We use that data only as described in this notice. We recommend reviewing your social provider's own privacy notice as well.
Payment & Security
Payment data
If you make a purchase, we collect the data necessary to process payment, such as your payment instrument number and security code. All payment data is stored by our processors — Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo:
How we keep your information safe
We've implemented reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat these safeguards. Transmission of information to our services is at your own risk.
Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party providers to run and improve our services — including payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Venmo), and Google Maps Platform APIs for location-based features. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy notices.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, how any third-party provider — including social media platforms you may use to log in — separately uses your personal information. We recommend reviewing each provider's privacy notice directly.

- Request correction or erasure of your data
- Restrict how your personal information is processed
- Request data portability, where applicable
- Object to automated decision-making
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
- Opt out of marketing emails or SMS at any time (reply "STOP" or use the unsubscribe link)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section below, or visit acreagetools.com/contact-us.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or Virginia, you have specific rights under state privacy laws (CCPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, VCDPA), including the right to know what we collect, request deletion or correction, obtain a copy of your data, opt out of targeted advertising or sale of data, and appeal a denied request. We have not sold or shared personal information with third parties for a business purpose in the past twelve months. To exercise these rights, email privacy@acreagetools.com or visit our contact page. California residents may also request "Shine the Light" disclosures once per year, free of charge. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18. By using our services, you confirm you are at least 18, or a parent/guardian consenting on a minor's behalf. If we learn we've collected information from a user under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the data. If you believe we may have such data, please contact us at info@acreagetools.com.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this notice — generally, for as long as you maintain an account with us — unless a longer period is required by law (for example, tax or accounting rules).
When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we securely delete or anonymize it. Where immediate deletion isn't possible — such as data held in backup archives — we securely isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
Policy updates
We may update this notice periodically to stay compliant with applicable laws. Any changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice or direct notification. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
